DisplayPac-ARM

Flat Panel Computing Platform for Embedded Operating Systems

The DisplayPac-ARM is a family of products designed specifically for

embedded operating systems. Powered by an Intel StrongARM SA-

1110 206 MHz single board computer, the systems offer low-power

operation while providing high-powered processing. In addition to

64M Synchronous DRAM and 32M Flash memory, the systems

provide a type II PCMCIA socket for additional storage capacity or I/

O modules such as GPS or wireless Ethernet. A CompactFlash socket

provides yet a third option for storage media.

The product family offers a variety of display options from 6.4" to

12.1". Typical configurations draw less than 15 Watts total power,

making this an ideal product where low power or battery operation

is needed. Low power means less heat is generated, allowing the

product to operate in more extreme environments. Other benefits

from using the DisplayPac-ARM family: simple field software

upgrades; no moving parts yield higher MTBF; software develop-

ment tools and Windows CE drivers mean faster time-to-market;

power management allows extended life in battery-operated

applications; connectivity maximized through standard I/O features;

execute applications from on-board Flash or removable media.

Custom configurations are available in OEM quantities.
